Join Elise for a 2-hour immersion in the art of yoga hands-on assists! Touch is a profound way to act in service of supporting others' individual journeys through their bodies, minds and spirits.
In this workshop, we will focus on STANDING POSES as the second in a hands-on assist series. We will learn transformative ways to support both beginner and advanced practitioners and meet students where they are. You will also learn SELF-ASSISTS that you and your students can incorporate into your practices during class.
Recent research shows the power of loving, intentional touch:
- Touch has the ability to increase oxytocin levels and reduce heart rates
- Touch facilitates trust between individuals and fosters feelings of self-worth
- Touch strengthens the immune system
In this 2-hour workshop, you will:
- Give (and receive - yay!) assists for standing poses which will transform your students' practices
- Practice key body positions for giving hands-on assists safely and effectively
- Know when to offer a verbal cue, a suggestion, an adjustment or an assist to help unlock your students' potential
- Have the tools to create your own assists based on meeting yourself and your students where they are
Your investment of $40 covers the workshop and 2 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credit.
Open to both students and certified teachers.
